Today I am here to share with you something fantastic I have recently discovered.
If you've been around here on Hart to Heart for a while, you know a bit about my fitness
journey. Running, Insanity, foot injuries, a little more running etc. etc.
Through all the fun adventures I have been going through over the past 8-9 months,
sadly I have not been seeing the results I have wanted. I've always been thin, and I'm
sure it's something in my genes. However, that's never been the 'look' I have wanted.
I have always envied the girls who are ridiculously toned and muscular yet still feminine.
Running, running some more, and running a little bit more after that was NOT getting
me that look. So many times I would find myself stressed/emotional about not getting
the results I want. Even with the insane amounts of cardio I was doing, my weight was
still fluctuating quite a bit, which is BEYOND annoying.
So, after pigging out for a solid 2-3 weeks after my husband got home from deployment,
I realized it was time to make a serious change. Our big vacation is coming up in less than 80 days
and I refuse to feel badly about myself for another second longer.
So we joined the gym right by our house, and I hired myself a personal trainer. Now,
I have yet to start working with my trainer (we begin in October), but while fiddling around
on the internet, I came across this lady right here! Jamie Eason

I was afraid of weights, terrified of machines, and I lived on the treadmill and in Zumba class.
But without weight training, I will never lose the last few pounds I'd like to, I'd never get my
body fat percentage down, nor would I get that toned muscular look I am longing for.
So after an hour trip to the gym with my husband to teach me how to do all the exercises,
and use the machines, I began the live fit trainer. I am in love. I have done 9 days worth of the
program, and eating cleaner than ever and I am feeling so much better about myself.
Every now and then I still have those pitty party moments, but I can truly tell that this
is going to be the program to take me from average, to the look I am dying to achieve.
Now you may be wondering why I want to work with a trainer come August?
Well my trainer is in her early 20's like me, and a fitness competitor ( something
that I would love to train for long term). I think that the extra push and motivation
won't hurt at all (;
If you aren't lifting weights, only doing cardio, or are 'afraid' or 'intimidated'
by the free weights, and machines in your gym ... don't be! Hang up your running shoes
every now and then and go lift something heavy.... DO IT. And trust me,
as a woman -- lifting heavy weights will NOT make you bulk up and look 'manly'.
It just wont. Period. So get that stereotype out of your head.
I can't wait to see the results from this journey I have begun!
