Every time I visit the south, I wonder why in the world I've lived in Ohio for give or take 20 years of my life. You cross the boarder from Ohio to Kentucky and from there down I am referred to as Ma'am ... People hold doors for me... and Please and Thank You are non negotiable.
I'm just saying, I truly believe in southern hospitality. After my husband gets out of the Army I think I will beg him to move us to Savannah, or Charlotte! PLEASEEEEEEE?
Anyways, yet again I am traveling today! Headed back to Ohio after a whirlwind, non stop, fun filled, 5 day trip to Fayetteville NC, Myrtle Beach SC, Raleigh NC, and Carolina Beach NC. I had a blast visiting friends I haven't seen in a year (our husbands went to basic training together and we were the odd balls out who didn't get sent to Ft. Bragg). This trip was just what I needed to get me through these last two.. teeny... tiny.. super short weeks! Do ya feel my excitement?!
So for your viewing pleasure, here is a photo recap of the past 5 days!

I love the South myself.... Of course I live there lol! I don't trust any place that won't serve me sweet tea! Lol
ReplyDeleteI may be a little biased but you should also consider CHARLESTON as a place to retire. Think Savannah only better. ;) Glad the south treated you well! I miss it dearly.
ReplyDeleteI've never really spent much time in the south, beyond visits to the Outer Banks and Florida a few times...but I've thought it'd be a great idea to live there, too! :) However...I LOVE winter time...so, I couldn't part with my Pennsylvania snow! :)
ReplyDeleteNothing better than the south!! glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures look like pure heaven! I adore the South, I can't see myself raising a family anywhere else :)

Southern born and raised and I wouldn't want it any other way! I've visited lots of cities, but none even compare to good country living! :) If you ever find yourself in the Charlotte area I'd love to show you around, my town (which is NOT in Charlotte, by the way) ;)

ReplyDeleteHave yourself a superb time to make those 2 week fly!! xoxo, Bev
I think it's too funny hearing your thoughts of the South since you are from up North, ha! I may be biased, but being from the South is so wonderful. North Carolina and South Carolina are so beautiful, true Southern states. I think you all should definitely move to the South one day :)
